We are looking to purchase a digital camera to use in taking photographs of wildlife on our Alaskan vacation this summer. We currently have point and shoot digital cameras but are thinking we should probably get a digital SLR with a telephoto lens. Ease of use would be helpful as we would be novices with this type of camera. Cost is not really an issue as we are looking at this as a once in a lifetime trip and want to make sure we have photos to preserve it. Get a D300
70-300mm lens as well.

Since cost is not an issue i would recommend NIKON D80 with 70-300 vr ZOOM.You will never regret.I have a Nikon D40 with 55-200 vr which is good enough for me.Hope this helps RAJA
